Scanning cards

How do I scan a card?

Open the Scan tab, point your camera at the front of a card, and fill the on-screen box with the card. Hyper Rare reads it and shows the market value in seconds.

My card wasn't recognized

For the best scan: take the card out of any sleeve or toploader, use even lighting with no glare or shadows, wipe your camera lens, and hold steady until it captures. You can also add cards by name, number, or year from the Search tab.

Your collection & data

Where is my collection stored?

Entirely on your device. Hyper Rare has no accounts and no server — your collection never leaves your phone. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it, so back up your device if your collection matters to you.

What data does the app collect?

Card photos are processed on your device and never uploaded. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Premium & subscriptions

How do I restore my subscription?

Open Settings (the gear icon on the Home tab) and tap Restore Purchases. This reactivates a subscription you already bought — for example on a new device.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your device, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions, select Hyper Rare, and cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the current period ends.

How does the free trial work?

The weekly plan includes a 3-day free trial. You won't be charged if you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Manage it in your Apple Account subscription settings.

Trade Check

How does the trade checker work?

Open the Trade tab, add the cards on each side, and Hyper Rare compares their market values to tell you whether the trade is fair. It's guidance based on current market prices — always use your own judgment before trading.
